When will the new boulevard be complete?
The new boulevard is part of the £8.5m highway infrastructure works which are currently under construction. We anticipate that the new boulevard entrance to Durhamgate will be completed early 2012
When will the first houses be ready?
Taylor Wimpey has acquired the first phase of housing land and will be building 70 new homes. Construction is expected to commence early 2012, with the first homes being ready to occupy in summer 2012.
Who is building the houses?
Taylor Wimpey will be building the first phase of 70 homes and we hope to be able to announce the second phase over the coming months. In addition, we will be launching self build and individual design and build opportunities for construction in early 2012.
We have planning approval for 440,000 sq ft of headquarter office accommodation. We anticipate most buildings will be in the order of 25,000 - 50,000 sq ft. There potentially will be smaller office space available as part of the retail core which we will be designing during 2012.
When will the pub be ready?

Who can I contact about employment opportunities at DURHAMGATE?
There are lots of companies working on the design and construction of Durhamgate, as well as those businesses that ultimately will be based here. As the developers of Durhamgate, we encourage those companies working for us to employ and train local people wherever possible.
